#TechTipTuesday Gboard A new way to type

I really hadn't put to much merit into all these new keyboards available for download, that is until I downloaded the Google keyboard for iOS!

Wow, the things I didn't think I'd ever use, (like swipe typing and animated gif libraries and even being able to search for emojis) I've now been convinced of their convenience. Gboard is a keyboard app for iOS that lets you do so much more than just type, it allows you to search for those images, gifs, or emojis you want to use from the quick and easy access of your key board. No need to go out to google to find an image you want to share, just use the built in search function inside the keyboard. 

Hate scrolling to find that perfect emoji, just search for it and boom, there it is.

Swiping style keyboard, who needs it?!? As it turns out, I DO, and I never understood why they were so great. 

Again all these features built right into Gboard and MORE!

#TechTipTuesday Tweetdeck, simplify your twitter chats

If you have ever participated in a Twitter chat session and not used Tweetdeck, then it's time to simplify and prepare yourself for the ultimate in Twitter chats.

A few simple steps and you'll be ready to go.

Step 1: Create a Twitter account, if you've already got one move on to step 2

Step 2: Go to http://tweetdeck.com

Step 3: Sign in with your Twitter account

Step 4: Set up your Columns to work FOR you.

Below you will see steps for creating a column to follow the hashtag #WGSDCHAT

Your Tweetdeck may look a bit different at first but in a few clicks you'll be on your way to Twitter 

Let's start by adding a column, locate the plus sign on the right hand column and click "add column"

You can add many types of columns, for this we will just do a Search type column, choose that then type in #wgsdchat then choose the option with the magnifying glass.

The column added will then show any tweet that has #WGSDCHAT in it.
